After Breakfast Drive To Turtuk (Which Was First Opened For The Tourist In 2010) Which Is A Place Annexed By India Only After The 1971 War, The Village Of Turtuk Is One Of The Only Balti Village In India And Lies Right Next To The Loc. The Village With The Whole Population Of Muslims Still Resembles Mini Pakistan. The Village's Inhabitants Still Use Traditional Utensils Which Are Crafted From Stone. Explore The Village Of Turtuk, The Village Offers Views Of A Beautiful Valley, Part Of Shyok Valley. On Clear Days You Can Have A Glimpse Of K2 Mountain Peak Located Across The Border In Pakistan. Though A Muslim Village, There Are Few Gompas Located On The Plateau Above Shyok River And There Is A Old Royal House To See In Village. Return To Hunder By The Evening. Dinner & Overnight At Camp.
After Breakfast check out from the hotel and drive back to Pangong via Shyok River and admire the picturesque views en route Reach on the Banks of Pangong Lake and appreciate its charming beauty. Dinner & overnight stay. Pangong Lake: It is situated at an Alt. of 4,270 ft. & 134 km long which forms a part of the India-china Border. Due to its clear water, it reflects the sky color giving the effect of changing colors of the lake throughout the day & night. Another amazing fact about this lake is it freezes completely during winter, despite being saline water.
Drive to Tsomoriri Lake. It is a breathtaking journey on a trail that is literally a ‘no mans’ land. Vast lonely stretches on the Changthang plateau makes this drive one of the best isolated drives of this tour. Enroute visit the faraway settlement of Chushul. Tsomoriri is situated at an altitude of 4511m above sea level; with an area of about 140 Sq.km. Spend your evening watching shadows of the surrounding mountain and the varying depths of Tsomoriri lake. Stay in tented cottages at Tso Moriri.
After breakfast retrace the route down to Puga Sumdo and then follow the road across the Polokongka Pass (4920 mtrs) to visit Tsokar Lake, a salt lake system in the Rupsho plateau which is home of the Changa nomads and support many rare wildlife species. After sightseeing of the area take the Manali-Leh road to return to Leh, crossing Taglang-la (alt: 17,585ft) en- route. Arrive at a hotel in Leh for dinner and overnight.
